Virginia Garcia is a Spanish Lecturer at the University of California, Merced. She was born and raised in Mexico City and moved with her family to Fresno, CA in 1988. She completed her studies at Fresno State University, graduating with a Master’s degree in Spanish. She quickly got to work after graduating and has been a Spanish Lecturer for 6 years. She has taught several upper level courses as well as elementary and intermediate level courses. She takes great joy and pride in teaching her native language and the culture behind it to her students.
